This classic, though viewed by millions, should be seen by everybody. The video really speaks for itself, its a wonderful combination of an London Underground station, Europe’s longest escalator, a crazy guy and a pair of skis. The video was originally made to promote Skiflim.com’s ‘Mind the Gap’. Enjoy.
After this video, which gives a very literal alternate interpretaion of ‘Down The Tube’ was recorded, London Underground Police condemned the stunt, calling it “dangerous and irresponsible” and threatening to arrest anybody else caught attempting the same thing. The skier, who cannot be identified in the clip, is Andreas HĂ„tveit, a Norwegian pro-skier who admitted to making the video when it was to late for authorities to prosecute him for it. The BBC gave this video worldwide acclaim when it ran a story on it in March 2007.
